Young boy seen driving campervan

West Coast police were scanning the main highways today in search of a campervan that was being steered by a young boy.

Constable Michael Tinnelly, of Greymouth police, said they had several reports about a boy, aged eight to 10 years, seen sitting on the lap of the driver and steering the van. The last time it was spotted was at Kumara Junction.

"We are trying to find the van to have a chat to the driver but have not yet located it," Mr Tinnelly said.
