A woman has been pulled dead from Lake Taupo this morning.
Passersby are believed to have spotted the woman around 9.50am, and pulled her out of the lake near the junction of Lake Terrace and Taharepa Rd near the Taupo town-centre.
They attempted first aid until emergency services arrived.
However, the woman could not be revived, police said.
