A woman in her 60s has suffered serious hand injuries while launching a boat into Lake Taupo.
The Taupo-based Greenlea Rescue Helicopter was this afternoon called to transport the woman, who was injured while helping launch a boat from a boat ramp at Two Mile Bay.
She was flown to Waikato Hospital.
