Two people badly hurt in a three-vehicle in the Dome Valley, north of Auckland, last night are in a stable condition.
Police said the crash, on State Highway 1, near Warkworth, occurred when of the three vehicles crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic on State Highway.
One man was critically injured and a middle-aged woman was seriously injured.
The pair were flown to Auckland Hospital in two separate Auckland Westpac Rescue helicopters.
An Auckland District Health Board spokeswoman confirmed this morning both were in a stable condition.
