Heart surgery for Mike Moore - report

New Zealand's ambassador to the United States Mike Moore has undergone a heart valve replacement and is back at work in Washington DC, the Scoop website has reported.

"Doctors are pleased and I'm pumped," Mr Moore told a US correspondent.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade could not immediately verify the report this morning.
