A large scrub fire is burning on a Waikato farm this afternoon.
Firefighters from four stations are attempting to dampen the blaze, which took hold on a goat farm in Pukemoremore, east of Hamilton, shortly before 1.30pm.
It is currently around 10,000 square metres, and "out of control", northern fire communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said.
A helicopter has been scrambled to dump water on the flames, and it is hoped it will bring the fire under control, he said.
Crews from Cambridge, Matamata, Morrinsville and Chartwell are on the scene.
