Police are no longer concerned for a tramper who was reported
overdue in South Westland.
Greymouth police senior constable Mike Tinnelly this morning
appealed for information about Gabriel Mabbs, 62, from
Ms Mabbs rang her mother from Hokitika on April 3 to say she
was heading south and intended to do a six-day tramp. She did
not mention where and was not believed to have been heard
This afternoon Mr Tinnelly said police no longer required
information about Ms Mabbs as she had been located safe and
