Woman in court over Christchurch stabbing

A woman will appear in court this morning after allegedly stabbing a man in an altercation in Christchurch last night.

The 25-year-old man went to Christchurch Hospital with a stab wound to his abdomen, police said.

Police said the man suffered a minor injury but was still in hospital today.

Detective Sergeant Hamish Wilson said a 24-year-old woman was arrested late last night on Tuam Street in central Christchurch and a weapon had been recovered.

The woman was facing a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
