Powerball First Division was won last night, with the winner from Ashburton taking away $14.4 million.
The winning ticket was sold at Lotto at Countdown in Ashburton.
This big win follows June's top Powerball prize payout, with players from Hastings and Kumeu taking home $13.2 million each.
"This is a spectacular run of winning for Lotto players," said Lotto New Zealand's Head of Corporate Communications Emilia Mazur.
Another Lotto player from Wellington was also celebrating after winning $1 million with Lotto First Division.
The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto.
Strike was not stuck, and has jackpotted to $600,000.
