Six people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries after a deck collapsed in West Auckland this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Covil Ave, Te Atatu South address just after 4.20pm.
A Fire Service spokesman said the deck fell from the house but it was not clear how or why. He said 12 people were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Six were then taken to hospital for further treatment.
None of the injuries are understood to be serious.
The deck was cordoned off so police could ascertain what had happened.
Inspector Peter Rayne said as there was no "criminal culpability or liability" they were not investigating the matter further.
