A man is in serious condition in Dunedin Hospital after an assault in Riverton overnight on Thursday.
Police are investigating the assault at a property which left the 32-year-old man with head injuries.
He was taken to Invercargill Hospital but later flown to Dunedin Hospital because of the severity of his injuries, police said today.
Scene examinations had been done and witnesses spoken to.
