St Heliers Bay bar robbed at gunpoint

Two armed men robbed a Saint Heliers Bay bar at gun point last night when staff were closing up for the night.

Police said a staff member was taking the rubbish out around 11pm last night when two men forced their way in to the bar.

The men were armed with what was described as black handguns. They took a quantity of cash and then fled on foot, police said.

The staff member wasn't hurt in the robbery and no customers were in the bar.

Police said they were looking for two men who were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing last night.

They were believed to be around 25-years-old and were of skinny to medium build.
