The search is continuing today for a diver who went missing in central Hawkes Bay yesterday.
The 56-year-old Hastings man was diving with a friend at Pourerere Beach about 2.30pm, when he failed to surface, police said.
The Lowe Walker Rescue Helicopter and local boaties helped police in a search of the area but were unable to find the man.
Searchers would continue today and the Dive Squad had been called in to help, police said.
