Police have named a man who died following an alleged road-rage incident in Christchurch last month.

David Paul Journee, 67, died on Tuesday in Christchurch Hospital after he suffered a head injury in the incident between two motorists on Harper Ave on November 24.

Police had interviewed a number of witnesses but police were still calling for any others who saw the incident between the driver of a black BMW and Mr Journee, who was driving a dark-coloured Toyota Ace.

While police had not yet formally interviewed the BMW driver, they said discussions with him were continuing.

People with information were asked to call Christchurch police on 03 363 7670 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
