Fog blanketed Auckland this morning and caused flights to be delayed.
Flights departing Auckland bound to Queenstown, Taupo, Kaitaia, Gisborne, Whakatane, Bay of Islands, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wanganui and Nelson have all been delayed.
Flights arriving in Auckland from Christchurch, Wanganui, Tauranga, Rotorua, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, and Bay of Islands, have all been delayed.
A flight arriving in Auckland from Paraparaumu has been cancelled.
Two international flights, one from Shanghai and the other from Tokyo, have been delayed.
MetService said the fog has cleared from Auckland Airport. Some patches remained around the Auckland region, but they would clear quickly this morning.
