Two teenagers are in Palmerston North Hospital, one with suspected spinal injuries and another escaped injury, after a quad bike crash early yesterday.
It was understood the three young people had been attending a nearby party.
Eketahuna chief fire officer Max Mayer said the three teenagers crashed into a ditch at about 2.15am on Pukehoi Rd, a gravel road near Hukanui, 9km north of Eketahuna.
A rescue helicopter took one young man, who was suspected to have sustained spinal injuries in the crash, to Palmerston North Hospital.
The other injured young woman was taken by ambulance.
It was believed the other female was uninjured.
A spokesman for Palmerston North Hospital said both were now in a satisfactory condition.
