Two pedestrians could hold the key for police investigating the death of a 72-year-old Tokoroa man who died when struck by a truck last month.
Ioane Pere suffered critical injuries and later died in Waikato Hospital after the crash which occurred on Dalmeny St in Tokoroa at about 9pm on Friday, February 20.
The police serious crash unit is investigating and wants to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
Officers are particularly interested in two pedestrians who were reportedly on the footpath and would have been passed by the truck just prior to the fatal collision.
