A large fire has engulfed a cool store and pack house building near Te Puke overnight.
Fire communications shift manager Scott Osmond said the fire was now under control but about half of the large building had been damaged in the blaze.
Ten fire trucks and five tankers have been at the scene of the blaze since it began around midnight, Mr Osmond said.
A fire safety officer was at the scene and would be investigating the cause of the fire.
