$9.1m Powerball win

A very lucky Lotto player from Auckland is $9.1 million richer after winning Powerball First Division last night.

The winning Lotto ticket was sold at Mitchell's Paper Power in Auckland.

Last night's total Lotto Powerball prize was made up of $9 million from Powerball First Division and $166,667 from Lotto First Division.

Five other lucky punters also won $166,667 with Lotto First Division last night.

The winning Lotto tickets were sold at Loveridges Lotto and Video in Hawera, Newtowne Drycleaners in Dunedin, Clutterbucks Four Square in Mataura, Fresh Choice in Waimauku, and Pak'n Save Lincoln Road in Auckland.

No one won Strike Four last night, and it will be worth $300,000 in next week's draw.

A couple from Te Aroha also walked away richer, after they spun and won $100,000 with the Winning Wheel on last night's live Lotto draw.

LottoNZ said the player who won this week's Winning Wheel ticket purchased their ticket from Onehunga Mall Superette in Auckland.

The winning serial number is 498-60940805-20XX.

LottoNZ said all players were automatically in the draw to win a chance to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, no matter what ticket they bought.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
