Kim Dotcom and three of his Megaupload associates have had their extradition hearing date delayed.

A decision released by Justice Sarah Katz today said the hearing date, set for June 2, was to be adjourned until after September 1.

The US government is seeking extradition of Dotcom and his Megaupload associates Mathias Ortmann, Bram van der Kolk and Finn Batato to face charges of alleged criminal copyright infringement, wire fraud, money laundering and racketeering.

The group, who were arrested here in January 2012, applied to delay the June date on the grounds they needed more time to prepare.
