Police say there was no foul play behind a car fire near Nelson.
A body was found in the car.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ciaran Sloan said police were satisfied the circumstances surrounding the car fire on the Whangamoa Saddle on Saturday were not suspicious.
Police said they knew the identity of theperson found dead in the scorched car but the results of forensic testing would be required to confirm that.
