Instead, this mammal is a baby seal.
It has been been spotted on Ray Small Dr, in a rocky area near the estuary.
Police are not guarding the seal as it is not in an area where the public can get too close.
The seal pup spotted at Papakura is now being watched by a group of people.
The little fellow appears to have come up the estuary earlier today and the got stuck on land when the tide went out.
A Department of Conservation ranger is on the way to see the seal pup, and see if it needs any help.
