Man found dead at Panmure house named

Police have named a 19-year-old man found dead at an Auckland property. He was Shane Paul Hawe-Wilson, of  Wanganui.

Mr Hawe-Wilson's body was found at a house in the suburb of Panmure yesterday morning.

Police said a post-mortem examination has been completed and Mr Hawe-Wilson's body has been returned to his family, members of whom had travelled to Auckland.

Police allege that Mr Hawe-Wilson was viciously attacked at the house in Jellicoe Rd, where he died, and have charged a 35-year-old Balmoral man with murder.

The accused appeared in the Auckland District Court today. He was remanded in custody and granted interim name suppression.

He would next appear at the High Court in Auckland on July 22.

The scene examination was expected to be completed today, police said.
