A 16-year-old charged with the murder of an elderly man in Christchurch has been remanded in custody.
The teen appeared in the Christchurch Youth Court this morning, after being taken into custody following the incident.
The man's body was found at an Upper Riccarton home yesterday.
A blanket suppression order was in place.
The murder-accused would appear before the High Court at Christchurch on August 21st.
