Man stabbed, forced to drive to ATMs

A man was stabbed and forced to drive his car to two ATMs when two men went to his Christchurch home and confronted him with two weapons.

"They forced him to take his vehicle to two ATMs before going to a petrol station where the victim was able to run off," said Detective Constable Luke Vaughan.

The victim, who knew the men, has been treated at Christchurch Hospital for minor stab wounds and is expected to be discharged later today.

Detective Constable Vaughan said police are appealing for sightings of a stolen silver 1989 Jaguar Sovereign with the registration GAN945.

"If you see the vehicle contact police straight away and do not approach the occupants."
