A man is in hospital with serious head injuries after a crash in Southland early this morning.
Senior Sergeant Brian Benn said a Toyota Surf lost control and rolled on River Rd, between Gore and Mataura, just after 12am.
The male driver was trapped in the vehicle, and freed by the Fire Service.
Four passengers in the vehicle escaped with crash with minor injuries.
