RSA pleased car ad pulled

The Returned and Services Association is pleased a car company has decided to hit the brakes on its Anzac Day ad campaign.

The RSA had laid a formal complaint over the 2 Cheap Cars ad on Facebook which told people to come down because their great-granddad would be proud.

RSA chief executive David Moger said today the company had apologised, and the decision to pull the ad showed it didn't mean any offence.

Mr Moger said most companies don't want to offend, but a little extra thought was needed around Anzac Day (25 April).
