Teens charged over Tinder date stabbing

Two teenagers have been charged after a Tinder date ended with a 28-year-old man being stabbed in the chest in West Auckland.

A 15-year-old girl has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to rob following the incident on Friday night.

The victim is alleged to have been stabbed in the chest as he sat in a car with the girl, whom he'd met on social media dating app Tinder.

The victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A 14-year-old boy has also been charged with being a party to causing grievous bodily harm with intent to rob.

He is expected to appear in the Waitakere District Court tomorrow.

The pair are also additionally charged with aggravated robbery, this was a separate incident that occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, at a petrol station in Massey.
