Police are appealing to the public for any sightings of a Timaru man who has not been heard from since Saturday.
A Mazda 323 station wagon belonging to Darryl McNee (44) was found at the end of Connolly Rd, Seadown on Sunday afternoon, and police said there were concerns for his wellbeing.
Mr Mcnee's disappearance has come as a surprise to his family and friends, who have not heard from him since early Saturday morning.
A search of the area surrounding his vehicle has failed to turn up any sign of him.
Police would like to speak to anyone who has seen Mr McNee or his vehicle in the week leading up to his disappearance.
Connolly Rd is a common access point for people walking to and from the Opihi River mouth along the beach and it is possible someone may have seen him.
Mr McNee is a Caucasian, clean shaven, with short light brown hair. He is of thin build and 180cm tall. It is not known what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance; however, he is known to often wear black jeans.
