An elderly woman has serious injuries after being attacked by three dogs in Christchurch.
St John was alerted to the attack at about 4pm on Monday and sent an ambulance to a Spreydon house.
St John spokesman Ian Henderson said the patient, in her early 70s, was taken to Christchurch Hospital ED with serious injuries.
The three dogs involved in the attack have been seized by the Christchurch City Council.
They will be held by the council's dog control unit until a decision on prosecution is made.
The dogs were registered, the council said.
