The Sky Tower will be lit in rainbow colours tonight to honour those who died in Orlando yesterday.
At least 50 people lost their life when a lone gunman opened fire in Pulse, a gay nightclub in the Florida city.
It is the deadliest gun massacre in US history.
"Tonight the Sky Tower will glow in rainbow colours, honouring those lost in Orlando and standing unified with communities around the world calling for love, not hate," said Rebecca Foote of SkyCity.
She recommended viewing the tower 30 minutes after sunset, which is at 5.11pm.
The lighting of the Sky Tower is best viewed, photographed, or filmed 30 minutes after sunset.
