One person is dead after a two-car crash in Moffat Rd near Balclutha tonight.
A police media spokeswoman said the crash between a car and a ute left one person dead with three others being examined by ambulance staff at the scene.
The crash happened just before 5pm, she said.
The road is closed and diversions are in place.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash, the spokeswoman said.
A St John spokesman said the three people examined at the scene had minor or no injuries.
