A young woman killed when a "people mover" vehicle loaded
with eight people rolled yesterday near Swanson, west
Auckland, has been named.
She was Jessie Patrick, 20, from the Auckland suburb of
Massey.
The other seven in the vehicle, including the 19-year-old
male driver, escaped with minor to moderate injuries.
The vehicle ran out of control on a moderate bend on Te Henga
Rd about 2pm, hit a bank, and overturned.
No other vehicle was involved and police said they were still
speaking to the injured occupants.
Ms Patrick was not thought to have been wearing a seat belt,
police said.
