Christchurch police have identified a man whose body was
discovered in Lyttelton Harbour at the weekend.
Details would not be released until the man's next of kin had
been notified, which might take a few days, Detective Senior
Sergeant Ross Tarawhiti of Sydenham police said.
The body was found about 5.20am on Saturday in a harbour
spillway by a security guard.
The man's car was seen at a ramp by the spillway eight days
earlier on January 30, police said.
The death was not suspicious and had been referred to the
coroner.
