A Havelock man suffered chest and leg injuries after being
run over by his own ute this morning.
The 41-year-old was on Takorika hill, 3km southwest of
Havelock, spraying weeds from the back of the vehicle when it
began to roll, Summit Rescue Helicopter spokesman Jarrod
Colbourne said.
The man fell under the ute as he tried to climb in the cab,
he said.
He was flown to Blenheim's Wairau Hospital for treatment.
