Police have named a man killed in a car crash in the King
Country yesterday.
He was 47-year-old New Plymouth man Timothy John Chadwick.
His car overtook a truck then failed to take a bend at
Piopio, 100km southwest of Hamilton, about 11am.
The car rolled and Mr Chadwick died at the scene.
Police were investigating what part road conditions and speed
may have played in the crash, Senior Sergeant Rob Bankhouse
of Te Kuiti police said.
The road was slick after rain, he said.
