Four Greenpeace protesters who climbed onto Parliament have pleaded guilty and been convicted of trespass.

Johno Smith, Jeff Harrison, Abi Smith, and Verena Maeder, were convicted after appearing before a judge at the Auckland District Court today.

All have been remanded at large for sentencing in October.

The two women and two men scaled Parliament's roof in Wellington on June 25 and stayed there for for 10 hours.

They were protesting what they say is the Government's lack of action on combating climate change and increasing renewable energy sources.

They also removed solar panels they had used to power their devices and promote alternative energy sources.

Parliamentary Service ordered a full review of security at the complex as a result of the breach.
