Wanaka police officer Phil Vink checks out the wreckage of a
German couple's Toyota Camry rental car, which was involved
in a head-on crash with a utility truck on the Crown Range
road yesterday afternoon.
The couple were taken to the Lakes District Hospital with
minor seat-belt injuries.
The ute driver - an Invercargill man - was taken to hospital
with a suspected broken arm. Speaking to the Otago Daily
Times at the scene, Acting Sergeant Tracey Haggart said
police had not yet determined the cause of the crash and
inquiries were continuing.
