Disqualified boy caught driving

A 16-year-old Arrowtown boy was referred to Youth Aid after police caught him driving while disqualified at 6.20pm on Friday.

• At 12.10am on Saturday, a 30-year-old Scottish man was arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour after allegedly pushing a man over after being refused entry to a local bar. Sergeant Mark Gill said the man would likely appear in Queenstown District Court on October 23.

• At 1.30am on Saturday, a New Zealand man was detained for detoxification after he was found by police covered in vomit and unable to stand outside a bar on Steamer Wharf. He was released without charge after six hours.

• At 2.20am on Saturday in Arrowtown a Wakatipu driver stopped by police on Cardigan St and allegedly produced a breath-alcohol reading of 834mcg. Police were awaiting the results of a blood test.

• At 2.58am on Saturday, an Australian man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his female partner and another man. The man has been charged with male assaults female and common assault and will appear in the Queenstown District Court on October 23.
