Colourful parade

The annual street parade through Wanaka brought out a good crowd on a fine and cool evening to cheer on 16 floats, superhero dogs, zombies, fire engines and purveyors of free ice cream.

Wanakafest began on Thursday night with a fashion show, continues today with beach cricket, tugs of war and a wine festival, and finishes tomorrow with a polar plunge, cardboard boat race and the annual plastic duck race.
