Keeping their eyes on the flies

It was a cool and windy graduation day for 35 new anglers at Wanaka last night. The group has been studying the art of fly-fishing, instructed by members of the Upper Clutha Angling Club.

Convener Ian Cole said the courses were held every two years and were over-subscribed this year. In the foreground (at left) is casting expert Carl McNeil, of Wanaka.
