A collision in Lower Shotover Rd at 5.55pm on Thursday
resulted in one car landing on another's bonnet.
Senior Constable Chris Blackford, of Queenstown, said a
motorist lost control on a corner and their car became
airborne.
"The motorist approaching ... saw the airborne vehicle and
managed to stop his car in time and the airborne vehicle
landed on his bonnet.
"The attending officers reported that it was very lucky that
there were no fatalities."
Three people, including a child, were in the vehicle which
stopped and a single occupant, understood to be a youth, was
in the vehicle which became airborne. All involved suffered
minor injuries.
