After two successful screenings during Arrowtown's 150th anniversary celebrations, the area's gold-mining history will once again come alive on the big screen, historical film about the development of the area being replayed next weekend.
Arrowtown 150 co-ordinator Julie Hughes said there would be two screenings of the film on Sunday, both featuring additional footage from October's re-enactment of the discovery of gold, part of the sesquicentennial celebrations.
The New Zealand Film Archive show offered everything from silent footage of Queenstown in 1905 and a reunion of old gold miners in 1911, to footage of the 1962 centenary celebration and ski antics at Coronet Peak during the 1970s.
Cheryl Collie will accompany the silent clips on piano.
Entry costs $5.
Mrs Hughes anticipated strong interest in the highlights of this year's re-enactment and celebrations.
The screenings will be at the Athenaeum Hall at 3pm and 7pm.
Tickets will only be available at the door.
