Temporary road closures on Arthurs Point Rd, from 6pm to 9pm
this Friday and November 23, are expected to cause delays of
15-20 minutes for motorists.
Queenstown Lakes District Council project manager Lane
Vermaas said the closures were required to allow foam bitumen
stabilising of the road surface over a 50m stretch of road on
the Arrowtown side of the Edith Cavell Bridge.
Mr Vermaas said despite the closures, there would still be
access for emergency service vehicles.
The council had opted to carry out the work in the evenings
to minimise the risk of traffic disruption and thanked
everyone for their patience, he said.
