The Lakes District's sixth annual blockbuster concert returns
to the Queenstown Events Centre on Sunday at 4pm.
Produced by the Queenstown Lakes District Council, under the
creative direction of Simon Green, Margaret O'Hanlon and Anna
Stuart, the extravaganza will celebrate Christmas with a
medley of favourite traditional and contemporary songs
performed by Wakatipu talents.
Mr Green said yesterday the community concert was especially
"up-tempo and energy filled" for 2012 and packed with songs
families would want to sing and dance to.
The 11-strong Remarkable Men's Ballet returns by popular
demand in tutus and full make-up with a unique interpretation
of Swamp Lake.
"They're looking sharp - graceful, almost. They're working
really hard this year," Mr Green said.
- Tickets, $15 per adult,
$5 per child, from the events centre, Queenstown i-Site
Visitor Centre and Ticketek.
