Queenstown restaurateur dies in crash

A restaurateur killed while holidaying in Bali was well-known in Queenstown's hospitality community.

Grant Sneddon died on November 25, reportedly after a motor vehicle accident.

A funeral service will be held on Monday for the co-owner of the South African-inspired Flame restaurant.

Southern Hospitality Otago Southland regional manager Mark Latham said Mr Sneddon was "incredibly passionate about his business" and had an "infectious" personality.

"He would take everybody's opinion and whether it was valid or not he would take it on board," Mr Latham said.

Mr Sneddon, a South African emigrant, had been in Queenstown for the past 12 years.
