A 26-year-old Uruguayan man living in Queenstown has been
charged with indecent assault after inviting a taxi driver
into his house early yesterday morning.
At 5.40am police were called to the man's Frankton address
after the female taxi driver pushed the emergency response
button in her car to notify her employer she was in trouble.
The man had shared a taxi with another man, who got out at an
address in Adelaide St, before making his move on the driver,
Sergeant Steve Watt said yesterday.
''When the driver pulled up to his address, he refused to
leave and continued to try and convince her to come inside to

or more occasions, Sgt Watt said.
