Bad weather did not dampen the spirits of revellers, who
turned out in force for the Summerlands 2013 concert at the
Lake Hawea Hotel last night.
Hotel spokeswoman Carolyn Hay said more than 1000 people had
been expected to attend the event, held in and outside the
hotel, for acts including Tiki Taane, P-Money, Dub FX and
Flower Fairy.
Concerts had been a regular occurrence at the hotel, but it
was the first in several years since a change of ownership,
she said.
Bad weather had not disrupted the event or stopped
concert-goers from camping on site.
''It's raining but everyone's having a good time. It's
fantastic,'' she said.
