The passion for mountain biking in Queenstown and further
afield has gained international exposure on the BBC website,
courtesy of two Lonely Planet writers.
Sarah Bennett and Lee Slater wrote about cycle trails for
their travel feature headlined ''Easy riding on New Zealand's
new cycle trail'', on January 16.
''The 100km Queenstown Trail offers myriad itineraries
through the peak-fringed Wakatipu Basin, complete with
wineries, the pioneer gold-mining settlement of Arrowtown and
the historic Kawarau Bridge, where the world's first
commercial bungy jump still operates,'' they wrote.
