River-sledging in the Kawarau River has been named the
world's top water adventure by Lonely Planet Great
Adventures author Ben Fogle. Fogle rated the activity
alongside rafting the Amazon River and kayaking with Orca
whales in British Columbia.
The book also rates the Milford Track as one of the world's
best 12 hikes.
Of the activity, run by Serious Fun River Surfing and Frogz
White Water Sledging, Fogle encouraged readers to let the
river ''have its wicked way with you''.
Serious Fun River Surfing managing director Neil Harrison

alongside some of the world's best adventure activities.
